Lily sat outside in the courtyard. Her books were sprawled out on the table in front of her and she had a quill in one hand. She had figured that the day was too good to waste sitting indoors. She was out enjoying the warmth of the sun.
She dipped her quill into her ink bottle and wrote out a quick note from her potions text book. Professor Slughorn had asked for a paper on a potion they had made in class earlier that morning. Lily liked to stay on top of her homework so she had started in her free period.
She had been into the Great Hall to grab some lunch just before her free period started. She had her bowl of salad sitting to the side of her. Every now and then she would stick her fork in for a bit of carrot or tomato. The house elves at Hogwarts were really marvelous cooks.

Severus dashed though the corridors until he was out in the courtyard, he had made another attempt to walk pass the marauders unnoticeable but he was noticeable to them and unnoticed to others. Sirius has tried this time to throw a spell at him but Severus made it around the corner and ran till he knew that they were not following this time. He took a deep breath and push his hair back that was once again in his face.
His eyes suddenly fall onto Lily's beautiful face, she had been the only reason why Severus had one great moment at Hogwarts. Till the death he would die, he knew he would always remember her.
Quietly Severus walked over, he was nervous again. He always was and would be. He stop only a few feet away his mouth opened but nothing came out. Soon he stood there looking like a fool. What could he say without making him look more like a total moron.

Lily looked up when a shadow fell on the grass near her. The movement made her jump. She smiled when she saw Severus Snape standing there, gazing at her like a fool. "Hey Sev!" She greeted warmly, patting the seat next to you. "Sit down," She offered. Severus was her best friend. They had been friends even before she had found out that she was a witch. He had been the one to tell her!
"What have you been up to this morning?" She asked curiously. She hadn't seen her friend all morning. It was probably just coincidence, but she didn't like it. She loved to spend time with Severus. It was really a nuisance that they were in different houses. She wished they could stay together. She didn't like his Slytherin friends.

Eliena walked out of the castle, her shoulder bag draped over her torso. Her yellow hair was up in a tight bun, rather than its normal ponytail. Her eyes were there natural yellow color this morning, instead of the blue that some of her contacts gave her.
Slowly, Eliena made her way down to the courtyard. Her eyes scanned the area for a shady spot to sit down at. Seeing one, she started to make her way towards it, but stopped for a short moment when she noticed two other people. She knew who they were but she didnt know them personally. She went back to walking toward the spot she had picked out.

Severus smiled a bit, and sat beside her before he could change his mind. He pushed his hair away from his face so he could see hers. "Studying, reading, the normal thing. How about you Lily?" He asked quietly. Severus was never this nervous when he was with her when the first met but now he was a total idiot. Severus knew that Lily didn't like his friends if that is what you could call them. But that accepted him as who he was.

Lily gave Severus a charming smile. She stabbed her fork into her salad again and chewed on a piece of tomato as he answered. She swallowed as she motioned to her books. "Much of the same," She answered. She closed her books and packed away her things, ready to just relax and talk to her best friend. She shook her long hair out around her. She barely noticed the other girl come into the courtyard.

Severus really always nervous around Lily plus he wasn't much of a talker. It wasn't that he was shy or anything, he really didn't have much of friends Lily was the only true friend he had. "I..been..." Words tried to get out of his mouth but some were stuck. He looked up when he had someone than quickly shut his mouth.

Lily knew about Severus' 'shyness'. She was used to it. It still irked her though. She looked at him. He looked nervous. She smiled at him and put a hand on his arm. "Are you okay?" She asked him. She didn't like his 'death eater' friends and hated the idea of them changing him.
