Calypso's dark orbs took in the warm surroundings of the large room. Covered with tables and chairs, wizards and witches seated everywhere. Seated in a table hidden in a back corner, the girl's tiny frame was hardly visable through the crowd. A sketch pad lay open in front of her, empty of any pencil marks. A sigh escaped her pink lips and her dark hair spilled over her shoulder, creating a dark curtain to cover her face. A cup of butterbeer lay hardly touched to her left. Her pencil tapped rythmically on the wooden table top, silently tapping out one of her favorite songs Northern Downpour by Panic At The Disco.

Lily walked into the Three Broomsticks and carefully scanned the crowd. It was a habit she had gotten into whenever she came to Hogsmeade. It was bad enough that Potter could annoy her at school, but if he annoyed her while she was out, that was different. She tried never to go anywhere where she could see him. It was a good habit.
Lily didn't notice anyone sitting in the back so she ordered a butterbeer and made her way to the back of the bar with it. She stopped short when she noticed that someone was already sitting there. She bit her lip for a moment, undecided on what to do. Her kind side won out. She helped herself to a seat at the girl's table. She looked at her. She had a drawing pad out, Lily looked at it. There was nothing on it. She noticed her virtually untouched butterbeer. "Don't you like it?" She asked the stranger, pointing to the drink.

The tiny girl jumped and quickly looked up, her eyes wide. She looked around for a moment and bit her lip. "Umm yes I do. I'm just thinking." Not realizing how long she'd spaced out for or how thirsty she was, she slowly sipped at her drink. "I'm sorry, am I in your seat?" Virtually noone but the teachers had ever spoken to her in Hogwarts, she was all alone most of the time. She didn't mind it, but it did get lonely. She silently wondered why this girl would ever associate with her.

Lily smiled. She understood how easy it was to get lost in thoughts. She wondered where this girls friends were though. Almost everyone in Hogsmeade was there in a group. But she wouldn't ask that. Perhaps she was in a fight.
"No, no," Lily assured her. "You just looked like you could use some company," She replied quickly. She wondered why she had never seen this girl before. Surely she would have seen her around at School, but she didn't recognize her. "I'm Lily," She added as an afterthought. "Lily Evans,"

The girl smiled, her silver orbs gaining back their sparkle. "I'm Translucia Lucid, but call me Calypso." Lily seemed curious, her eyes spelling out her wonder. "I don't....have any friends. No one has bothered to talk to me since first year." She silently closed the drawing pad and placed it in the bag beside her. "Your the first to approach me that wasn't a teacher. That's probally why you haven't seen me around. I'm the first to leave and work alone most of the time."

Lily was taken aback. Why would nobody bother to talk to Calypso? She seemed like a nice enough girl to Lily. She was sad for her. The poor girl. Well, Lily made up her mind. She would have a friend now. Lily would be her friend. She didn't like to see people alone. "What year are you in?" She asked quietly.
((So sorry its short))

((its alright I don't mind.))
"I'm in fifth, same as you. I've seen you around hanging out with that Slytherin boy." She placed her elbows on the table, propping up her head. She smiled shyly at Lily and tilted her head. She found it amusing how people could walk past two girls and no one could notice them. Hogsmeade was always so packed it was terribly difficult to keep track of all the children. "What house are you in? I don't pay attention to those kind of matters much."

Lily blushed. "Yeah, Severus, he's just a friend of mine," She admitted. She was careful to pressure the word friend. He was nothing more than that. She didn't want her new friend to this there was. She watched as she became more relaxed. Calypso had propped her elbows up on the table. It was good she was being so open with her. "I'm in Griffindor," She replied. "you?"
